CCS-subsidised In-Home Care – Expressions of Interest now open
Our CARE Program brings the warmth and quality of HLG STEAMist’s PLAY approach directly into your home. Designed for families who need flexible, qualified care that mainstream childcare can’t always provide, CARE is In-Home Care (IHC) – a specialised type of care funded through the Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
🚀 Currently Available with Full-Fee Payment HLG STEAMist’s In-Home Care service is currently under application with the Australian Government Department of Education. We’re accepting Expressions of Interest now so we can contact you the moment we’re approved and ready to begin.
Is CARE right for your family?
In-Home Care isn’t available to everyone: it’s for families who can’t access other approved childcare for reasons such as:
- Work involving non-standard or variable hours (e.g. shift work)
- Geographic isolation, or living in a rural/remote area
- Complex or challenging family circumstances (e.g. multiple children under school age)

How fees work
- During our application period: Until our service is approved, the Child Care Subsidy cannot yet be applied, so families pay the full fee up front.
- Once approved: Eligible families pay only the gap fee (the portion left after your CCS is applied). You may also be eligible to claim reimbursement of the full fees paid during the application period, subject to eligibility and Services Australia rules.
- We’ll guide you through CCS registration and Services Australia steps every step of the way.
