Where curiosity leads to creativity

INNOVATE Program: From Exploration To Innovation

About INNOVATE

The INNOVATE Programme by HLG STEAMist offers STEAM-focused experiences that inspire children to think creatively, build confidently, and explore boldly. Designed for children aged 3 to 13, INNOVATE combines real-world problem-solving with project-based learning to develop future-ready skills.

Story-led STEAM for children aged 3 to 5

INNOVATEclub

INNOVATEclub brings STEAM to life for children aged 3 to 5 through story-led, hands-on adventures. Every term follows one story that carries young learners across Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths, with playful investigations that grow curiosity, teamwork, and confident thinking.

What INNOVATEclub Offers:

  • Story-led STEAM journeys: Each term unfolds across ten weeks, so learning builds naturally session by session.
  • Hands-on investigation: Children explore real questions with real materials, guided to wonder, test, and discover.
  • First Nations knowledge, engaged with respect: One theme draws out the science within First Nations ways of knowing, developed together with community and cultural advisors.
  • Family take-home packs: Weekly activities carry the wonder from the centre home to the kitchen table.
  • Ready to run at your centre: A qualified educator delivers every session, all materials are provided, and no preparation is required.

Aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework Version 2.0 and the National Quality Standard.

Story-led STEAM adventures for the kindergarten year

INNOVATEkit

INNOVATEkit brings the joy of STEAM home to your family. Across ten weeks, one unfolding story guides your child through science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths, one playful discovery at a time. There is nothing to plan and nothing to prepare. You simply follow along together, and watch curiosity grow week by week.

INNOVATEkit is made for children in their kindergarten year, aged 3 to 5. Adventures for younger and older children are on the way, so before long every child in your family will have a story of their own to explore.

What is inside INNOVATEkit:

  • A ten-week story to share: Each week continues one adventure, so your child looks forward to what happens next and learning builds naturally over time.
  • Guided video lessons: A friendly educator leads every session on screen, so you can explore alongside your child without needing any STEAM background of your own.
  • Weekly hands-on packs: All the materials arrive ready to use, so the kitchen table becomes a place to build, test, wonder, and discover.
  • Real skills, gently grown: Every activity nurtures curiosity, problem solving, teamwork, and confidence, the foundations that carry children well beyond these early years.
  • Support whenever you need it: Ongoing online guidance means you are never doing this on your own.

Choose how you begin:

Every family is different, so INNOVATEkit gives you two ways to explore.

  • The Full Journey (subscription): The complete ten-week adventure, delivered week by week. Every video lesson, every hands-on pack, and ongoing support, all included. Best for families who want the whole story and the deepest learning.
  • A Single Activity (one at a time): Prefer to dip a toe in first? Choose one activity to enjoy at your own pace, with no commitment. A lovely way to try INNOVATEkit, or to give as a gift.

You can always begin with a single activity and step up to the Full Journey whenever the moment feels right.

Not at all. INNOVATE sessions are child-led and designed to meet children where they are. All your child needs is curiosity and a willingness to try new things.

It feels more like a creative workshop. Sessions are hands-on, playful, and project-based, with plenty of guidance from facilitators but lots of room for independent exploration.

Yes, whenever possible. Some  collaborative projects may stay at their centre or be shared through photos and videos instead.

If your children enjoy building, designing, imagining, or asking questions, they will likely love INNOVATE. You are welcome to book an introduction session to try out.
